A lovely opportunity has come up in the St Johns Wood area to care for a little boy on a sole charge basis due to mum returning to work. The family are looking for a nanny who is forward thinking, loves working with children and is passionate about supporting children’s learning and development. The family are looking for an experienced nanny with a minimum of five years’ experience working with babies.

The role will be sole charge, working 7.30am to 6.30pm, Monday to Friday. A driver is preferable, although not essential, with the family home conveniently located close to local amenities and transport links as well as parks and a car will be available for duties if required. The family also employ a housekeeper and occasional holiday travel will be required, on average twice or thrice per year.

The family are searching for a kind, patient, professional and caring nanny, with experience of looking after children of a similar age. Years of experience with under 1-year old babies are required. The right candidate will have a calm and loving approach, creating an environment in which the little boy will continue to develop and thrive. Someone searching for a long term role will be a great fit and the nanny will have lots of autonomy in the role, planning the little boy’s day. He is a happy and healthy little boy, in a good routine and the parents are keen the nanny socialises him, taking him on playdates, to groups and on trips, such as London Zoo and local museums. The role will include typical nursery duties, preparing healthy meals, undertaking his laundry and organising age appropriate activities to encourage his development.

The family will offer the successful candidate a 28 days’ annual leave per year including bank holidays, competitive salary and discretionary year end bonus.

General duties:

  • All sole charge daily nanny duties
  • Getting little boy dressed and giving him breakfast in the morning
  • Following little boys’ routine – mum does like some structure but also like a baby lead approach
  • Arranging/attending groups and playdates
  • Going for walks and to the park to get fresh air
  • Playing at home and supporting the little boys learning and development through different activities
  • Undertaking nursery duties – laundry and keeping her play area/bedroom tidy and organised
  • Cooking fresh and healthy meals – would be a bonus if extra could be made for the parents
  • Flexibility to travel once a year for two weeks would be ideal but not a requirement

 

Candidate requirements:

  • The family are looking for someone who is a fluent or native English speaker
  • You must also hold an up to date enhance DBS and current first aid
  • The suitable candidate would have a keen interest in child development with the ability to support different milestones and experience working with children the same age
  • The family would be keen to see candidates who hold childcare qualifications but are also opened to speaking with candidates who have good experience with a passion in child development
  • A kind personality, with lots of patience, common sense and good communication is attributes the family are looking for

 

Working Days: Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 6.30pm

Start Date: 1st May (could start earlier for the right candidate)
