Permanent Governess job in Split, Croatia
My clients are searching for an experienced, hardworking and intelligent Governess to guide, inspire and nurture their two daughters 9.5 and 16 years old.
The job is working with both girls, however most of the time you will be working with the younger girl.
The girls currently study online and you will be there to help develop their education and encourage them to develop new hobbies, learning’s and ways of looking at the world. During the day you will oversee the online education, as well as accompany the girls to extracurricular activities.
The family like to travel and they look for a Governess who will be able to plan out educational and fun ideas for when the family travel to new countries. You need to be curious about life and have the knowledge, experience and tenacity to encourage a happy learning and life environment for these girls. It’s important that you are fit and active to keep up with the girls.
The family love to ski so if you can too this would be ideal, however not a pre-requisite. You will need to be able to swim, be comfortable on boats and if you can drive that would be preferred, but not a deal clincher.
The girls have two nannies, so you are there mostly to raise the level of education in the home, as well as role modeling manners, etiquette and your positivism. Ideally you have worked with girls this age, understand them and have skills and ideas up your sleeve to help bring the best out of these young ladies.
If you have a teaching qualification, this would be ideal.
Work Schedule:
This hasn’t been set in stone; however it’s likely to be 5 days per week, 2 days off, between 40 – 50 hours per week.
Salaries £1000 – £1200 per week gross (neg)
Accommodation: Shared with other nannies in a separate apartment
Flights: paid
