One of our high-profile clients based in Somerset is looking for a Temporary Nanny to look after a 26-month-old girl in South Africa.
The duration of the assignment will be 8 weeks (with possible extension of 1 week at the end) from 6th March 2023.
The role will start off in Somerset for the first 5 days in the family home for the Nanny to bond with the child (around 6th March) and then it will carry on in Cape Town, South Africa remaining 7 weeks.
Then flight alone to Cape Town on/around 11th March – for one week prepping of the Cape Town house ensuring everything obtained and installed for the child’s arrival with the father (on/around 18th March), research done into activities and potential child socialising activities completed.
The Nanny will need to be experienced working with this age group, able to adapt to different locations, have a sense of humour, happy to travel, a self-starter who can get things going and be a hands-on support for Mum who will be working 5 days a week, comfortable with sole charge & shared care. A Driver will be a bonus for this role, previous experience/knowledge of Cape Town is preferable but not essential.
Duties will include but not limited to:
Overnight care will be shared with parents, but child is generally a very good sleeper
Able to provide varied activities to help further the little girl’s development
Confident swimming with a toddler
Able to provide a wide variety of meals, as toddler enjoys a wide range of foods
Plan days independently
Days off: 2 days off a week, not necessarily consecutively
Time off: 4th – 10th April (Nanny welcome to stay at the residence in Cape Town during this time)
Accommodation: Bedroom & own Bathroom in both residences
Salary: flexible depending on experience & qualifications
