A private international family is seeking a highly professional Governess or Governor to support the academic development of their two young children — a bright six-year-old girl and four-year-old boy — both enrolled in an IB school program. This is a fully educational role focused on learning support, enrichment, and academic guidance rather than nannying or proxy parenting. The family maintains a fully staffed household, allowing the successful candidate to focus entirely on the children’s educational progress and development.
The role is primarily based in Singapore and Dubai, with regular travel between international residences including Moscow, Marbella, and other locations throughout the year. The ideal candidate will be experienced in working within international or high-profile households and confident supporting young children within the IB curriculum through engaging, structured, and creative educational approaches. A polished and proactive mindset is essential, along with the ability to foster curiosity, confidence, and strong communication skills in a calm and professional manner.
This position requires flexibility, as weekends will be part of the schedule, balanced by two non-consecutive weekdays off. Accommodation will be provided during travel, while the role is live-out when based at the family’s primary residence. The family is seeking a discreet, organised, and travel-ready education professional who can seamlessly adapt to an international lifestyle while maintaining high educational standards.
Requirements:
• Male or female candidates considered
• PGCE qualification and school-based teaching experience strongly preferred
• Native-level English essential
• IB curriculum and/or international school experience beneficial
• Polished, proactive, creative, highly organised, and comfortable with frequent travel
