First time parents in Shoreditch, London is seeking an experienced German-speaking nanny to care for their baby on a full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a career nanny who has extensive experience working with infants and young children and is passionate about supporting early development in a warm, engaging, and nurturing environment. The family is looking for someone who can naturally incorporate the German language into the child’s daily life, helping to foster bilingual development through play, conversation, songs, stories, and everyday routines.
The ideal candidate will hold a recognised childcare qualification, such as NNEB, CACHE Level 3, or an equivalent certification, and have a strong understanding of age-appropriate developmental milestones. The family values a nanny who is confident, proactive, and highly professional, while still bringing warmth and genuine care to their role. Occasional travel within Europe will be required, so flexibility and a willingness to accompany the family when needed are important.
Responsibilities:
Providing attentive, nurturing care for the family’s baby
Supporting developmental milestones through age-appropriate activities and play
Speaking German consistently with the child to encourage natural bilingual language development
Planning engaging activities, outings, reading, music, and sensory play
Preparing healthy meals and snacks for the child as appropriate
Managing feeding, nap, and daily care routines
Maintaining the nursery, children’s belongings, and play areas in an organised and tidy manner
Handling children’s laundry and wardrobe organisation
Keeping children’s supplies stocked and well organised
Accompanying the family on occasional trips within Europe
Working collaboratively with parents to maintain routines and support the child’s growth and development
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 50 hours per week
Salary: Up to £80,000 gross per annum
