Our client in Santa Monica is seeking a warm and experienced nanny to care for three children aged 6, 4 and 2, alongside a second nanny based in London and Los Angeles. The family practices child-led care and is seeking a candidate with expertise in Waldorf, Steiner, or Montessori approaches. They are also non-formal and are very involved in the children’s upbringing. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of experience as a nanny, and is a team player who is accustomed to working in a fully-staffed environment. We are also seeking a candidate that has flexibility to accommodate extensive travel (travel facilitation will be provided), including potential relocation to the UK, or other touring commitments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide a warm and safe environment for the children
• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and playtime that promote physical,
emotional, and intellectual development
• Carpooling or driving children to school, activities or playdates
• Prepare healthy and nutritious meals that meet dietary requirements
• Create new and exciting healthy food ideas for the children
• Administrate medicine with consent when required
• Organize bedroom toys
• Maintain open communication with parents and other caregivers
• Participate in family travels and activities
• Work in a team with another full-time nanny and other staff members
• Swim with the children and provide other activities that promote a healthy lifestyle
• Maintaining the homes sanitary standards at all times
Qualifications:
• Experience with Montessori or Waldorf education-related approaches is preferred
• Comfortable with pets
• Fluent in English and additional languages is a plus
• Passionate about holistic and child-led care
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other caregivers
• First aid and CPR certification
• DBS check or U.S equivalent
Essential Requirements:
• Valid Passport and ability to travel with the family
• Valid Drivers License
• Flexibility
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7am-7pm
Salary: Up to $75,000/yearly
