Warm and friendly entertainment family in Santa Monica is seeking a full time nanny to care for their 5-year-old and 3-year-old children. The family practices child-led care and values a holistic and respectful parenting style. The children are homeschooled and are known for their active, independent, and creative nature. The family is seeking a fun, independent, and grounded career nanny passionate about childcare.
The ideal candidate will be a team player comfortable working in a culturally diverse environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing a warm and safe environment for the children.
Planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and intellectual development.
Carpooling or driving children to activities or playdates.
Preparing healthy and nutritious meals meeting dietary requirements.
Creating new and exciting healthy food ideas for the children.
Administering medicine with consent when required.
Organizing bedroom toys.
Maintaining open communication with parents and other caregivers.
Participating in family travels and activities.
Collaborating with other staff members.
Engaging in activities promoting a healthy lifestyle, such as swimming with the children.
Qualifications:
4+ years of professional childcare experience.
Background in Montessori education-related approaches preferred but not required.
Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
Passionate about holistic and child-led care.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other caregivers.
First aid and CPR certification.
DBS check or U.S equivalent.
Essential Requirements:
Valid Passport and ability to travel with the family.
Valid Driver’s License.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 10 am-7 pm. Flexibility required for schedule changes, later nights, and weekends.
Compensation: DOE including vacation, sick days, and a monthly health stipend.
