A family in Santa Monica, California is expecting their first child in June and is seeking a Norland-qualified nanny for a long-term, full-time position. This is a wonderful opportunity for a highly trained professional who can provide exceptional newborn care while establishing strong developmental foundations from the very beginning.
The ideal candidate will be confident, knowledgeable, and experienced with newborns, offering a calm and structured approach to routines, sleep, feeding, and early development. The family is looking for a nanny who can grow with them long term and provide consistent, high-level care both at home and while traveling.
This role can be live-in or live-out for candidates already based locally in the Santa Monica or greater Los Angeles area. Flexibility for additional hours during family travel is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide full-time, developmentally focused care for a newborn
Establish healthy feeding and sleep routines
Support early milestones through sensory play, language exposure, and age-appropriate activities
Maintain all nursery-related duties, including organization, baby laundry, and sterilizing bottles
Travel with the family as needed, providing seamless care while away
Communicate clearly with parents regarding routines, progress, and development
Requirements:
Norland qualification required
Extensive newborn experience in private households
Professional, discreet, and organized
Flexible to travel and adjust hours when needed
Long-term commitment preferred
Schedule & Compensation:
Monday–Friday
45 hours per week (additional hours when traveling)
Compensation from $100,000+ per year (DOE)
