A family in San Francisco, California is looking for an experienced Hindi-speaking nanny to care for their 6-month-old baby. This is much more than a traditional nanny role, the family is looking for someone with a genuine passion for early childhood development who can confidently support their baby’s learning from the very beginning. Candidates must hold a degree or certification in Early Childhood Education or Child Development and have previous experience working as a teacher in a preschool or daycare setting. The ideal nanny will naturally incorporate Hindi into everyday interactions while creating a nurturing environment filled with play, exploration, music, and conversation.
The family is hoping to find someone who will become a trusted partner in their baby’s development, offering guidance on milestones, helping establish healthy routines, and introducing each new stage with confidence. From sensory play and early language development to preparing first foods, this role is perfect for someone who understands that the little moments each day have a lasting impact. The position also includes standard child-related duties, allowing the nursery and baby’s environment to remain organised and ready for each new adventure.
Responsibilities:
Plan and lead age-appropriate developmental activities that encourage learning through play.
Support and encourage developmental milestones and early learning.
Engage the baby in interactive play, including singing, reading, sensory activities, and language-rich experiences.
Help guide parents through developmental transitions, including introducing solids, establishing routines, and future milestones.
Prepare, wash, and sanitise bottles, and assist with preparing healthy meals as the baby grows.
Complete the baby’s laundry and keep clothing organised.
Maintain tidy, organised nursery spaces, play areas, and other child-related areas.
Speak Hindi with the baby throughout the day to encourage natural language exposure.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30am–5:00pm
Compensation: $40+ per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
