Dynamic and welcoming UHNW family based in San Francisco, is seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Native French-Speaking Family Assistant to join their household. The position will consist of caring for 12-year-old twins wherein the assistant creates an ever-growing, educational and stimulating environment for the children. The assistant will also handle household tasks such as running errands, buying groceries, provisioning the house, overseeing vendors and working with Chief of Staff to ensure efficiency within the home. The ideal candidate has an outgoing and upbeat, yet strong personality and will confidently enforce the rules set forth by the parents. As the Native French-Speaking Family Assistant, you will play an integral role in providing support to the family in various aspects of daily life. Your fluency in French will help foster a multilingual environment for the children, enabling them to develop strong language skills and a deep appreciation for French culture.
The hours are Monday through Friday 12pm to 8pm with overriding flexibility for schedule changes as needed.
Responsibilities:
Language and Cultural Mentorship:
Engage with the children in daily activities using French as the primary language to enhance their language proficiency and understanding of French culture.
Childcare and Educational Support:
Assist in daily routines, including getting the children ready for school, preparing meals, and organizing leisure activities.
Help with homework, school projects, and encourage a love for learning.
Provide a nurturing and safe environment for the children while maintaining a positive and cheerful atmosphere.
Driving to and from activities and attending events with the family
Household Management:
Collaborate with other household staff to maintain a clean and organized home environment.
Assist with grocery shopping, meal prepping, errands and vendor supervision
Oversee the children’s schedules and appointments, ensuring they are well-prepared for school and extracurricular activities.
Qualifications:
Native French speaker with excellent verbal and written communication skills in French.
Previous experience working with children in a childcare or educational capacity.
Familiarity with French culture, traditions, and language teaching methodologies.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage various aspects of family life effectively.
A warm and caring personality, with a genuine passion for working with children.
Respects confidentiality and maintains a high level of professionalism.
Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic household environment and occasional extended working hours.
Must be comfortable with pets (the family has a dog)
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Child Development, or a related field.
First Aid and CPR certifications.
Experience with adolescent aged children
