A San Francisco-based family is looking for a temporary Travel Nanny to join them in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from December 20 to January 2. They have two girls, aged 4 years and 10 months, and their usual live-in nanny will also be travelling, so the successful candidate will work as part of a nanny team. The role will cover all childcare duties for the girls, including their daily routines, activities, meals, outings and general care. The family is looking for someone confident around water who can keep the children safe and comfortable during their time in Rio. The nanny will work eight hours per day and have one full day off each week, plus one or two evenings of babysitting may be required during the trip. Both nannies will have their own private bedroom and bathroom, and all meals will be covered by the family. Candidates must be based in the Bay Area, available for the full duration of the trip and able to meet the family in person and complete a trial before travelling. A valid passport is essential, and fluent Brazilian Portuguese would be a bonus. The rate starts at $35 per hour.
