A family in Redwood City is seeking an experienced and nurturing nanny to care for their 2-year-old child in a long-term position with room to grow into a nanny/house manager role over time. They’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with toddlers and brings a calm, engaging, and development-focused approach to childcare. The ideal candidate is proactive, organised, and confident balancing attentive childcare with light household assistance related to the child and family routines.
This role would suit a nanny who values early childhood education and enjoys creating meaningful daily experiences through play, exploration, and hands-on learning. The family would especially love to meet candidates with a background or credentials in ECE, Montessori, Waldorf, or Reggio Emilia education, though strong experience and a warm personality are equally important.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide attentive, developmentally focused care for a 2-year-old child
Plan engaging activities that encourage creativity, independence, and early learning
Support developmental milestones through play, conversation, and structured routines
Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the child
Manage daily toddler routines including naps, outings, and playtime
Maintain organised play spaces, bedrooms, and child-related areas
Assist with light household support related to the child and family routines
Encourage learning through age-appropriate educational activities and exploration
Communicate regularly with parents regarding routines and development
Create a safe, nurturing, and positive environment for the child
The schedule is Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.
Compensation up to $45/hour for the right fit.
