Description
A family in Redwood City is seeking a highly experienced and educated ROTA nanny to care for their 2-year-old son and newborn baby (2 months old). They are looking for someone who is experienced with newborns, infants and toddlers and is passionate about childcare. Their toddler is very active, loves sports and being out in nature, so someone outdoorsy who enjoys hiking will be the best play mate for him. This person will be responsible for encouraging their children to grow and planning outdoor and indoor activities to foster their social-emotional development as well as their fine and gross motor skills. They’d love someone to actively coordinate classes for their toddler (gym, music, swim, etc.).
The family prefers someone confident in their abilities, who is an excellent communicator, receptive to feedback and has great follow-through. Someone who takes ownership of their responsibilities regarding the children and is autonomous but also collaborative with parents and other household staff.
This family does require travel as they spend 2 weeks to a month in Jordan each year, as well as 1-2 weeks traveling domestically for work and vacation throughout the year. They need someone flexible to come with them, and a person who is open to doing date nights (ideally once a week) and overnights as needed.
