A high-net-worth family in Puerto Rico seek to hire a multilingual travel nanny/tutor/educator to develop and implement an academic curriculum for their bubbly 3-year-old girl.

The ideal candidate is a recently graduated, college-educated person with experience or formal certifications in Montessori or equivalent in Early Childhood Education.

Candidates with expertise in RIE or Muse are welcome to apply. However, the Waldorf-based approach and the desire to never stop learning are preferred.

The ideal candidate will be energetic, athletic, and warm. The family are looking for a team player. There is no room for drama or ego with this family, who are humble and kind.

The tutor will be an adventurous person, naturally wanting to engage young minds by developing and organizing activities that nurture.

Creative spirits and stimulate a love for learning
Well-rounded, discreet, emotionally balanced individual
Have a plethora of interests and hobbies and is spiritually oriented
Enjoy all kinds of weather
Comfortable in the water, whether that be in a pool, the ocean, or on a boat
Enjoy traveling and discovering new places – different languages, foods, and cultures. Portugal, London, Singapore, Hong Kong etc
Ski or snowboard and have a willingness to try/learn new sports
You must have an up-to-date passport and driver’s license. Bilingual English-Spanish or English-French is preferred. Mandarin is a highly sought-after bonus.

The Job:

45-50 hours per week, live-in
Weekends on call to a total of 15 hours
2 consecutive days off per week
Travel will be for the same hours. However, the schedule may differ.

Care-giving responsibilities:
Creating enriching and physically and emotionally safe life experiences, meal prep, cooking, meal times, cleaning up, keeping play areas, bedroom,
Toys tidy, doing laundry and organizing a closet, play, playdates, organizing, enriching experiences, art crafts, taking to and from morning   preschool,  library programs, extracurricular activities, bedtime/naptime, dressing, potty training, night changing, helping to teach   manners,  managing and redirecting behaviors, giving positive reinforcement, modeling good behaviors and our family values, providing
love and care

Educator responsibilities:

Developing and implementing a curriculum designed for 3-4-year-olds
Designing and arranging the educational space
Evaluating progress, identifying areas of strength and areas of opportunity
Identifying and supporting individual learning styles
Communicating with the family and, if applicable, other parents in a pod. Monitoring and tracking supplies, submitting purchase requests, and ordering as required
Travel responsibilities:In addition to caregiving/educational responsibilities above, Assisting with packing, unpacking, and in transit activities; setting up sleeping spaces; arranging for activities at destination; meals
