A first-time family based in Poole, Dorset BH13 is seeking an experienced and supportive maternity nurse to start ASAP for a minimum commitment of one month. This is a night nurse position working 12-hour night shifts, 5 or 6 nights per week, supporting new parents with the care of their newborn during the early weeks. The family is looking for a calm, knowledgeable and reassuring candidate who can confidently establish healthy feeding and sleeping routines, provide guidance and practical support to first-time parents, and ensure the baby’s wellbeing throughout the night. Responsibilities will include all standard newborn care duties during shifts, including feeding support, settling, monitoring sleep patterns, sterilising bottles where required, and offering gentle advice and reassurance to the parents as they adjust to life with a newborn.
