A thoughtful family in the Petworth neighborhood of Washington, DC is seeking a full-time Montessori nanny to care for their baby. This position is ideal for someone who genuinely enjoys the early stages of child development and believes in following a gentle, respectful, baby-led approach. The family is looking for a nanny who understands that meaningful learning begins in infancy and values creating an environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and confidence from the very beginning.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a Montessori classroom or a strong understanding of Montessori philosophy and how it can be applied in a home setting. Rather than relying on constant entertainment, the family hopes to find someone who can thoughtfully observe, guide, and support their baby’s natural development through intentional activities, responsive caregiving, and a calm daily rhythm. This is an opportunity to work closely with parents who value a collaborative relationship and appreciate a caregiver who brings both warmth and expertise to the role.
