A family in Paradise Valley, Arizona is seeking an experienced, highly educated full-time Governess to provide structured academic instruction, enrichment, and character development. This is a 40-hour-per-week position, live-in preferred, designed for a professional educator who can deliver rigorous academics while fostering intellectual curiosity, leadership skills, and strong personal values.
This role is strictly education-focused with no household duties. The ideal candidate will bring a strong academic background, experience in private households or elite educational settings, and the ability to design and implement a comprehensive enrichment program tailored to the child’s needs. Weekend programming and enrichment activities will form part of the structured schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and deliver rigorous academic instruction across core subjects
Create and implement individualized curriculum and enrichment programming
Foster critical thinking, intellectual curiosity, and advanced study skills
Support character development, leadership, and social-emotional growth
Plan and oversee structured weekend educational and enrichment activities
Track academic progress and provide regular, professional updates to parents
Coordinate with tutors, extracurricular instructors, and academic institutions as needed

Highly educated (advanced degree strongly preferred)
Background in education, child development, or a related academic field
Experience in private households, boarding schools, or elite academic environments
Organized, polished, discreet, and professional
Able to design high-level academic programming and enrichment plans
