A busy and well-established family based in Palo Alto is seeking an experienced ROTA nanny to care for their three school-aged children.
The right fit is a professional nanny who enjoys a structured rota schedule, thrives in a dynamic household, and is confident supporting school-aged children in both their academic and extracurricular lives. The family travels frequently, both within the United States and internationally, and is looking for someone flexible, organised, and highly reliable.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, calm under pressure, and confident managing multiple schedules while ensuring the children’s routines remain consistent and well-supported.
Key Responsibilities
Driving children to and from school and a variety of after-school activities (work vehicle provided during shift)
Managing child-related administration including calendars, scheduling, school communications, appointments, and playdates
Coordinating and planning engaging weekend and school holiday activities
Providing light meal preparation for the children as needed
Organising children’s wardrobes, closets, and personal belongings
Packing and unpacking for domestic and international travel
Travelling with the family on a regular basis, including extended trips abroad
Ensuring children’s routines, organisation, and wellbeing are consistently maintained during rota periods
Candidate Requirements
Proven experience as a rota nanny or in a high-level private household role
Strong experience with school-aged children
Highly organised with excellent multitasking and time management skills
Confident working in a fast-paced, travel-focused household
Flexible, adaptable, and team-oriented approach
Strong communication skills and professional discretion
Full, clean driving licence preferred
International travel experience highly desirable
Must already be based in the Bay Area (no relocation or fly-in fly-out candidates)
Please note: this is not a fly-in fly-out position. Candidates must already be based in the Bay Area and within commuting distance of Palo Alto.
Salary: $130,000+ per year (depending on experience)
