A family in Oxford, UK, is looking for an experienced and knowledgeable nanny to care for their two boys, aged 1 and 3, who both attend nursery full-time. A solid understanding of child development and the EYFS is required. The family is looking for someone who can support the boys’ progress and developmental milestones.
The role will include all usual nursery duties, along with managing the children’s before and after-school routines and making sure they have a calm transition between nursery and home. The nanny will prepare healthy meals and snacks for the children and plan simple, age-appropriate activities that support their learning and development. Plenty of interactive play will be encouraged, both indoors and outside, with opportunities for reading, creative play, sensory activities, physical play, and time in the garden or local parks. The nanny will pay attention to each child’s individual development and help them build confidence as they reach new milestones. Light child-related housekeeping will also be required, including children’s laundry and keeping their bedrooms, play areas, and belongings tidy.
Driving is essential for the role, and the family will provide a car for work-related use.
The position is Monday to Thursday for 35 hours per week and offers up to £22 gross per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
