A lovely couple based in the San Juan Capistrano area of Orange County is seeking a full-time live-out nanny for their 8-month-old baby. The schedule will most typically be about 9am to 5pm Monday through Friday, but they’re very flexible within that range, so hours like 8am-4pm or 10am-6pm could work too. They will guarantee 40 hours per week even if they don’t always need them. They will need someone who is flexible to help with occasional date nights or overnights, and someone who’s willing to travel with them, especially during the Summers.

The job responsibilities will include all care for their child – this will range from doing typical care tasks like prepping foods and feeding, managing routines for the baby, and engaging him in developmentally appropriate stimulation and engagement. They’d love if someone can find local classes or activities to bring the baby to as he grows. The ideal candidate is education-minded and can work with the parents to teach them about milestones and development while following their lead on philosophies. They are hands-on parents, so you should have a strong sense of discretion for when to jump in and out of childcare in coordination with the parents. Job duties will also include light housekeeping related to the child: laundry, dishes and bottle sanitizing, meal prep, organizing and cleaning of the baby’s clothing and belongings, and any other duties that fall within that scope.

The family has a medium sized docile dog and a pool, so you should be comfortable both with dogs and with swimming/water safety. You also must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record. The parents will offer a health insurance stipend and opportunities for overtime and travel pay. If you’re interested and legal to work in the US, apply to EB285.
