Private family based in Olney, Maryland is in search of a Live In Nanny. They have 2 children; a 4 year old son, who will be attending preschool from 9AM – 3PM, and a 1 year old daughter, who will be home with the nanny. The family travels between 2 homes; in Maryland and Florida, but the primary home is MD. They typically travel to FL during holidays and summer/winter break. They are looking for someone who is very experienced, kind, and nurturing. They have a very positive parenting approach and do not scream at their kids . Someone who knows how to work with eating and sleeping schedules, can handle picky eaters, and be able to make eating fun to help kids eat more or try new foods. Someone who is comfortable in the kitchen and can prepare/cook food for kids. Comfortable with rocking baby to sleep in a chair to put down for naps. Knows how to clean things (ie. high chairs, strollers, car seats, clothes, shoes, etc) as needed. Knows how to organize (ie. put away small baby clothes in storage or set up ways to organize toys). Knows how to work with kids’ developmental milestones and stimulate them by giving them creative and fun activities (ie. reading, arts/crafts, puzzles, taking them outside, etc). Need occasional help with taking care of their dog (feeding/letting her out in the backyard). Someone who is not afraid to administer medicine or help child get rid of mucus if needed. Can successfully handle watching 2 kids at the same time. Nanny will also be responsible for children’s laundry, dishes, putting away toys daily. Spanish speaking is highly preferred!
