A family of three, in Old Greenwich, CT, needs to hire a live-in bilingual (Spanish and English speaking) Nanny to work a rotating schedule caring for a toddler. Responsibilities include: creating fun age-appropriate developmental activities, escorting the child to classes, coordinating playdates, preparing healthy meals/snacks, caring for the child’s room and belongings, child’s laundry, diapering, bed and bath routines, helping to keep the home neat and tidy and partnering with involved parents. The Nanny should be developmentally savvy and someone who values education, learning, and teaching. Nannies who hold a degree or background in childhood education are a huge plus. All candidates must work well with hands-on parents, and be able to share their input with parents but also take feedback well. Parents are hands-on with their child so the Nanny must know when to “read the room” and when they should take a step back and work on other tasks when parents are engaging with their child. The nanny should have experience working with infants/toddlers on sleep training. The ideal individual will be professional and non-obtrusive. The nanny must drive, swimming is a plus but nanny should be comfortable getting into the water. The schedule is working two weeks on, two weeks off. The nanny must have a place to go on their weeks off. The nanny should be local to the tristate, as the family does not want the Nanny to be commuting to/from Connecticut by plane on their weeks off. The nanny must be fully committed and flexible with their schedule while working the two weeks, however, there will be breaks throughout the day. Private room and bath provided only when the nanny is working. There is travel overseas during the winter months so all candidates must be passport ready. Covid vaccination is a must. Mid-March hire. Salary range – $100-150k plus health insurance.
