A family in Ojai is seeking a dependable and engaging nanny to care for their two daughters, ages 8 and 12. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with school-aged children and can confidently manage busy afternoon routines while creating a positive, structured, and supportive environment. The family is looking for a nanny who is organized, proactive, and able to balance childcare responsibilities with helping maintain the overall flow of the children’s daily schedules.
Responsibilities include school pickups, driving the children to and from extracurricular activities, assisting with homework, and providing academic encouragement and support. The nanny will also prepare healthy meals and snacks, help maintain routines and positive boundaries, and assist with light tidying and organization of the children’s spaces. The ideal candidate is patient, energetic, and comfortable managing multiple schedules while fostering independence, responsibility, and a calm after-school atmosphere.
Requirements:
Previous experience caring for school-aged children
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Comfortable managing busy schedules and transportation needs
Strong homework support and organizational skills
Ability to prepare healthy meals and snacks
Warm, dependable, and proactive personality
Comfortable maintaining structure and positive boundaries
Light tidying and organizational support related to the children
Strong references required
Schedule & Compensation:
Monday through Friday, 11:00 AM–7:00 PM
$30–$35 per hour plus PTO
