We are seeking a reliable and organized nanny / family assistant in Oakland, CA to support a warm and busy household with two children, ages 9 and 12. This role is primarily focused on after-school care, including school pickups, transporting children to and from extracurricular activities and appointments, and providing a calm, structured presence during the afternoon and early evening hours. The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, and enjoys working with school-aged children in a supportive, long-term role.
In addition to childcare, responsibilities include helping with homework support, children’s laundry, and maintaining organization in shared family spaces. Light meal preparation, tidying up after the children, assisting with household organization, managing daily logistics, and occasional errands are also part of the role. The family is looking for someone who can take initiative, stay ahead of daily needs, and help keep the household running smoothly during busy weekdays.
Schedule & Compensation: Monday–Friday, 1:00 PM – 7:00 PM, up to $45/hour.
