A family in Notting Hill, London is looking for an experienced live-out nanny to help care for their 4-year-old son on a shared-care basis. Working alongside hands-on parents and a professional household team, this role would suit a career nanny who enjoys collaborating while confidently taking responsibility for the child’s daily routine and overall well-being. The family is looking for someone who is warm, polished, and highly organised, with a genuine passion for early childhood development and a long-term approach to childcare.
The successful candidate will plan engaging days filled with learning, creativity, and outdoor adventures while ensuring the child’s routines remain consistent and well balanced. A housekeeper and private chef are employed, allowing the nanny to focus almost entirely on childcare and nursery-related responsibilities. The family is particularly interested in candidates with a stable employment history, extensive private household experience, and a calm, professional approach. French-speaking candidates are highly desirable, although this is not essential.
Responsibilities:
Provide attentive shared-care support for a 4-year-old child.
Manage school drop-offs and pick-ups.
Plan engaging, age-appropriate educational activities and learning through play.
Organise outings, classes, playdates, and other enriching experiences.
Support the child’s emotional, social, and developmental growth.
Prepare fresh, healthy meals and snacks for the child when required.
Carry out all nursery-related duties and maintain the child’s routines.
Work collaboratively with the parents, housekeeper, and private chef to ensure the smooth running of the household.
Requirements:
Minimum of 10 years’ professional nanny experience.
Previous experience working in private households.
Excellent longevity in previous nanny positions.
French speaking is highly advantageous but not essential.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30am–7:30pm
Position: Live-out
Salary: Up to £18 net per hour.
