A family in Newport Beach, California is looking for a caring, experienced live-in nanny with a strong understanding of Montessori or Waldorf-inspired childcare. This is a full-time Monday–Friday role (around 40 hours per week) caring for a 4-year-old and a baby. Separate accommodation is provided, along with travel opportunities as part of the role.
The ideal nanny is someone who genuinely enjoys supporting early childhood development in a thoughtful, hands-on way—helping children grow through play, structure, and curiosity. You’ll be part of a collaborative household where communication with parents is open and easy, and where routines are designed to support both structure and flexibility in a calm, nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting developmental milestones for both children, adapting activities to their ages and needs
Creating engaging, educational, and creative play experiences inspired by Montessori and Waldorf principles
Managing daily routines including meals, naps, hygiene, and transitions
Preparing healthy meals and snacks for the children
Assisting with nursery organisation, children’s laundry, and keeping play areas tidy and well-ordered
Coordinating children’s schedules, activities, and appointments in collaboration with parents
Packing, planning, and organising for domestic and international family travel
Traveling with the family when required and providing consistent care while on the move
Compensation: $85K per year
