A family on the Upper East Side is searching for a live-out, long-term nanny for their two children ages 7 and 4 years old. The schedule will be Tuesday-Thursday 1-8pm and Friday and Saturday 10am-8pm. If this nanny can’t work on the weekend, they can be flexible with that. Candidates must be CPR and First Aid certified; the family is happy to help the nanny get certified before they start if they are not already. The nanny must be able to swim, and it’s highly preferred that they are able to drive. The mom is a SAHM, and the father works from home. The mom and dad will be in and out of the home throughout the day. The family has two other nannies, so sometimes the nanny will be working alongside other staff, and sometimes they will be working alone. The ideal candidate is able to create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for the children. They are also looking for someone playful, fun, energetic, organized, efficient, and proactive. Basic duties include planning educational yet fun activities, ensuring the safety of the children, bringing the children to and from appointments and activities, coordinating playdates, managing the children’s schedule, light tidying up after the children’s play areas (including laundry for the children), and packing and unpacking the children’s belongings as needed. The nanny should have the skills to be able to communicate with the kids and understand them emotionally and socially. This candidate must be able to travel both internationally and domestically. Other duties will include cooking for the kids, organizing schoolwork and out of season clothing. The family travels to France in July and goes to the Hamptons in August. This position starts as soon as possible.
