A professional couple is looking for a long-term, full-time, live-out nanny, on the Upper West Side of NYC. The role starts mid-to-end of August or no later than the week of Labor day. Hours for this role will ideally be Monday through Friday, 8am-4pm- you must be flexible to stay later if needed. The family includes the mother, father, 3-year-old girl, and 1-year-old girl. Other staff includes a housekeeper, and they have a nanny who will be working a later shift until 7pm.

The nanny must have several years of experience caring for infant through elementary-age for a private family. Their ideal person will be energetic, active, quiet, intellectual, and autonomous. They need someone who can come in and take initiative. This person should be city-savvy and tech-savvy.

This couple would love someone who is interactive and engaging, who will come up with fun activities and games to play with the toddler and who will stimulate and help the newborn to reach their proper milestones. They prefer structure and always plan ahead. You will have light housekeeping duties, including the kids’ laundry, keeping things tidy, the kids’ meals, and keeping the kitchen clean.

The family keeps both children in educational immersive programs. The nanny will take both in the morning to their programs (both in the same building). Then pick-up both children, the toddler will then go to an afternoon program on the East side and the younger will be home the rest of the day. During the summer, the toddler goes to a full-day summer camp program.

The family values reliability and flexibility and would really like to find a nanny who can stay with them for years to come. The nanny should be pleasant, professional, discreet, outgoing with the children, but otherwise quiet.

You must be able to work in the Hamptons during the Summer months (you are fine to go home over the weekends and they will cover the travel to/from).  The live-in accommodations in the Hamptons is a private bedroom and bathroom.

The family might be open to offering medical (this is yet to be solidified). They are offering PTO, paid sick/personal days, main federal holidays paid (if working a federal holiday will either be paid time and a half or given a floating day off), and a performance-based yearly bonus.

The nanny must have their valid drivers’ license and a clean driving record. They will have access to a family vehicle when in the Hamptons. You should be able to travel domestically and internationally, if needed (not often). It would be a major bonus for the family if you know how to swim. The nanny must be COVID, TDAP, and Flu vaccinated. You must have a valid U.S. Passport, valid Green Card, or valid EAC to apply for this role.
