Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) – Nashville, TN

A welcoming family in Nashville, TN is seeking an experienced and highly qualified Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) to support them following the arrival of their newborn in March. This is a 3-month contract position, ideal for a professional NCS who is confident guiding first-time or growing families through the early newborn stage while respecting their parenting preferences.
The successful candidate will prioritize the baby’s safety, health, and emotional wellbeing, while helping to establish sustainable sleep and feeding routines that parents can confidently continue after the contract concludes.
Key Responsibilities

Prioritize the safety and wellbeing of the newborn at all times

Provide professional newborn care guidance while respecting the family’s values and preferences

Encourage and support healthy sleep habits, following all safe sleep guidelines

Implement effective sleep and feeding routines for long-term success

Support feeding methods (breast, bottle, pumping) as required

Perform baby-related duties, including:

Baby laundry
-
Bottle and pump part cleaning and sanitising

Cleaning and organising toys and baby items

Recommend appropriate baby and nursery products as needed

Work collaboratively with parents and extended family members

Travel with the family when required, maintaining routines in new environments
Candidate Requirements

Certified and experienced Newborn Care Specialist

Strong knowledge of newborn development, sleep conditioning, and feeding support

Up-to-date understanding of safe sleep practices

Calm, confident, and professional demeanour

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Flexible and adaptable, including willingness to travel

Outstanding references from previous NCS placements
Contract Details & Benefits

Daily rate of $600–$900, depending on experience
