Full-Time Nanny Job in Mountain View, CA
A family in Mountain View, California is seeking a full-time nanny to care for their two children, ages 4 months and 5 years. The primary focus of this role is caring for the 4-month-old infant, as the 5-year-old attends full-time school. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced, developmentally minded nanny who enjoys working with infants and supporting early milestones in a structured, nurturing environment.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, engaging, and comfortable working in a home where a parent works remotely. The family values a nanny who prioritizes the child’s needs while being willing to assist with light household tasks during naps or downtime. A background in child development or early childhood education is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care for a 4-month-old infant

Support after-school care for the 5-year-old as needed

Engage the baby in age-appropriate play, reading, outdoor time, and play dates

Practice paced bottle feeding and support baby-led weaning when appropriate

Drive children to and from school or activities as needed

Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the children

Manage children’s laundry and maintain tidy play areas and bedrooms

Assist with light child-related tidying; during naps, help with simple household tasks such as washing dishes

Communicate effectively with parents and track developmental progress
Requirements:

Experience with infants and knowledge of developmental milestones

Familiarity with paced bottle feeding and baby-led weaning

Tech savvy and comfortable using apps or tools for scheduling and communication

Valid driver’s license and comfortable driving children

Comfortable working in a home with a parent working from home

Schedule & Compensation:

Monday–Friday: 7:30 AM–4:30 PM
