A loving family in Morristown, NY seeks to hire an experienced Nanny/Housekeeper to assist with childcare and household duties. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of experience working with children and must be comfortable with simple laundry and housekeeping for the household. The home is 3,500 square feet, and the family has a housekeeper that does deep cleaning once, every two weeks, but the ideal candidate must be able to keep up cleaning and tidying up of the residence.
The family consists of Mom, dad, 10-year-old twins (one of them is in a wheelchair) and a 5-year-old. No pets in the household.
Childcare responsibilities:
Create and maintain a healthy and nurturing environment for the children
Able to prepare light meals for children
Provide all aspects of childcare when kids are home: kids are in school 8 am – 3 pm
Must be comfortable assisting mom, lifting the 10-year-old (75 lbs.) in a wheelchair in and out of it.
Must be able to help with bathing and to dress children
Household/Housekeeping responsibilities:
Running special errands and procuring household supplies as needed, including grocery shopping, and other items needed for the house.
Light cleaning, care, and maintenance of the residence
Vacuuming, and cleaning floors as needed
Putting dishes away and making sure kitchen is tidy
Laundry for the family: simple laundry and folding (no ironing needed)
Schedule: Monday – Friday 7 AM – 5:30 PM
Compensation: $20 – $25 per hour
Benefits: Two weeks paid vacation, 6 days paid US Major holidays, 4 sick days
Requirements
Excellent references required from current and previous employers
Minimum 3-5 years related work experience in a private home as Nanny
Experience working with twins is a must
Certified in CPR and First Aid, infant, child and adult is a major plus
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Adept in assisting with events and providing formal dinner service
Good cooking skills with ability to prepare meals are appreciated;
Swimming skills are also a plus
Strong command of the English language; additional language skills are a plus
Flexibility to work overtime or weekdays as needed
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Valid US Work Authorization is required Must follow all CDC recommendations against Covid-19
