Job Summary:
Our client, who is based in Montreux in Switzerland, is looking for a Live in Nanny to join their family. The family are looking for an experienced and professional candidate – ideally Norland trained – to take sole charge of their son. Both parents are working professionals and want to ensure their child is in trustworthy hands. They want the nanny to be able to use their initiative and help their son to hit his milestones and aid his development. This would suit someone who enjoys the outdoors and will take advantage of the Swiss lakes and mountains. The family employ a housekeeper once per week to help prepare meals for the parents and nanny.
The family ideally would like a Norland trained nanny and are willing to pay a higher salary – €76,000 – €85,000 Gross per annum. However, they are also willing to consider experienced nannies who have good experience with early years development.
Accommodation: Nanny studio flat including bedroom, bathroom and kitchenette (currently the kitchen is being renovated so will be sharing the kitchen in the main home until that is completed.
General duties:
Nursery duties
All care and welfare of their son
Preparation of meals and snacks for the child
Age appropriate activities
Bath time and bed time routines
Take outdoors/fun activities
Travel with the family – London, Mauritius, Lisbon and USA
Candidate requirements:
Experience with a child of similar age
Good knowledge of Early Years Development
Ideally Norland/Chiltern trained OR relevant experience and qualifications
Driving Licence – car will be provided
Someone active who enjoys the outdoors
EU Passport or Swiss Passport – right to work in the EEA
Pet friendly – family sometimes look after the parents terrier
Happy to travel with the family
Knowledge of French is desirable
