A lovely and kind family in Montecito is seeking a full-time live-out career nanny for their 6-month-old son to begin as soon as a fantastic fit is found. There will need to be flexibility in schedule; for example, working Wednesday through Sunday or Tuesday through Saturday (at least one weekend day per week) and working longer hours some days and less hours other days. Some occasional overnights are desired as well. Generally the schedule of 7am-4pm would be appreciated, but could also be 12pm-8pm. Some days might be 12-hours. The family will seek to balance time worked and time off as they do respect their nanny. They are open to some weeks being 4 days on/3 days off. The family will communicate their schedule needs and the family would also so appreciate the candidate to hire to also express what she needs as well, but being a flexible team-player is very important for this role.
The family travels to Europe somewhat often and have a trip planned to London and Spain in September as well as 3-5 cities in Europe in early 2023. They also have a home in Hollister Ranch on the beach. The candidate to hire must be passport-ready, able to travel, and it would be a bonus if Spanish or French is also spoken (the Mother speaks English, French, and Spanish fluently), and must be proficient in water safety due to having a beach home as well as a pool on property.
Both the Mother and Father work from home and are involved so a nanny who is comfortable with parents who work from home and check-in often is required. The Mother likes itineraries, logs, and structure with plenty of time peppered in for real play time and creativity. The baby will eventually be going to baby-focused classes (such as music or baby gym) so the candidate to hire must be a licensed driver with a clean driving record. There are no pets in the home.
The ideal candidate is a career-nanny who is a team member, is flexible, is wonderful at offering comfort and security to a child, and is communicative. The family is very fair, generous, complimentary (enjoy giving compliments as warranted), they understand that people have their own lives – they want their nanny to be happy and if she needs a day to go paint or surfing for example, that she expresses that to the family. The candidate to hire must be COVID-vaccinated and Tdap vaccinated, but no annual flu shot is required. The family is open to relocating a candidate and the candidate can live-in with the family for a month or so while looking for a place to live, but this role is live-out so the nanny must be efficient at finding a place to live upon relocating. The family is offering a generous monthly housing stipend.
Benefits include healthcare stipend, housing stipend, 2 weeks paid vacation, and federal holidays off unless the family needs the nanny to work and then offer another day off in the week to make up for it.
You must be legal to work in the US and have a US Passport, Green Card, or EAC to apply for this role
