BIG SKY, MT/MAINE (OPEN TO ALL US CANDIDATES) – Amazing, down-to-earth entrepreneurs are in search of a loving and caring FULL-TIME NANNY for their two young boys who are nearly 3 years old and 8 months old, from 8am-5:30pm Monday-Friday. Position is LIVE-IN. Living arrangements consist of a private room and bathroom in Montana, as well as the same set up in Maine. The family splits time between a private, gated community in Big Sky, Montana, Cape Elizabeth, Maine, and Camden, Maine.
The family’s community in Big Sky is a paradise on earth, offering a private ski and golf resort, numerous restaurants, parks and play areas, a rock wall, etc. There are so many things to do, from skiing to golfing to hiking and beyond! There are often celebrity sightings in the community, so it is essential that their nanny be private and discrete. While Big Sky is a small town, it has everything needed: a brand-new hospital, grocery stores, shops, restaurants, vet, dentist, etc. The area is rural, but there is nothing lonely about the town! It’s bustling and has a ton of beauty and activities to offer. A family car is provided and the nanny must be a confident and competent driver in snowy and icy conditions.
In Maine, the family owns a beautiful home on the water in Cape Elizabeth (10 minutes from downtown Portland), and is a member of Prouts’ Neck. They family additionally owns a large country estate in Camden, Maine (125 acres).
The family’s sons are very happy and smart. Both are fantastic sleepers and take one nap in the afternoon. When awake, they are energetic, playful, and curious. They love exploring, reading, and adventuring!
The family travels both internationally and domestically, often for several weeks at a time. They travel comfortably and stay in fabulous hotels in Europe, Africa, and beyond. They have tons of fun and would love to bring their nanny along for the ride! Duties in addition to childcare include laundry for the family and help keeping the home neat and tidy. They have weekly housekeepers but would love help maintaining cleanliness by wiping dirty surfaces, keeping floors clean, dishes, etc. between housekeeping visits. Just being a mindful housemate in general!
They seek someone who takes initiative to go above and beyond to do little things without being asked that help make their busy lives a bit easier. Parents are in the consumer packaged goods industry and lead an active and healthy lifestyle. They enjoy skiing, running, hiking, traveling and experiencing new cultures, reading, eating delicious food, and having lots of fun! They would love a nanny who enjoys the outdoors and shares similar interests. They respect people who work hard and don’t take things for granted. The ideal candidate is kind and warm, has incredible work ethic, is clean and able to maintain a clean house, truly loves kids, has high energy, and has no ego or entitlement. The most important thing is a loving and helpful nanny who can help take care of their son and join their family. Any background in child psychology or child development/education is also a big plus! Someone who is genuinely engages with their little one—always singing, talking and getting on his level to play! Someone who loves their job and doesn’t see it as “work.”
Pay is $25-40/hour. Benefits include paid sick days, holidays, vacation and a health insurance stipend. Start date is ASAP!
