A family based in Milan is seeking a Live-In Nanny with native-level English to care for their two young children, aged 2 and 3. Both children attend a British school, and the family is looking for someone who genuinely enjoys supporting early childhood development through play, conversation, and everyday experiences.
This is a childcare-focused role within a supportive household, with no cooking or housekeeping duties. Your time will be spent helping the children flourish through educational activities, maintaining their routines, and supporting their learning in line with the British curriculum. During school holidays, you’ll accompany the family on their travels, providing continuity of care while helping the children explore and learn through new experiences.
Responsibilities:
Manage school drop-offs and pick-ups
Plan and lead engaging, age-appropriate afternoon activities
Support the children’s learning and development in line with the British curriculum
Encourage native-level English language development through everyday interaction
Foster creativity, curiosity, confidence, and independence
Organise and maintain the children’s bedrooms, wardrobes, and playroom
Ensure the children’s safety, wellbeing, and daily routines at all times
Accompany the family on travel during school holidays
Communicate regularly with the parents regarding the children’s progress and development
Requirements:
Native-level English speaker
Previous professional experience caring for toddlers or preschool-aged children
Strong understanding of child development and early years education
Experience supporting children attending British or international schools is highly desirable
Warm, energetic, and proactive approach to childcare
Organised, reliable, and confident working independently
EU passport holder or legal right to work in Italy
Excellent references from previous employers
Position Details:
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30am–8:30pm, with a 4-hour break during school hours
Accommodation: Live-in
Salary: €4,000 net per month
