Montessori-Trained Nanny & Educator | Miami, Hamptons & NYC
A UHNW family is seeking a Montessori-trained Nanny & Educator to provide exceptional care and early childhood education for their 2-year-old child. Based in Miami with regular travel to the Hamptons and New York City, this role is ideal for a highly skilled professional who is passionate about child development and experienced in implementing Montessori principles within a private household setting.
The ideal candidate is nurturing, structured, and development-focused, with a strong ability to foster independence, curiosity, and confidence in a toddler. This is a fully staffed household, requiring a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Montessori Education & Child Development
Implement authentic Montessori methods to support cognitive, social, and emotional development
Design and facilitate age-appropriate, engaging activities that encourage curiosity, creativity, and independence
Promote self-sufficiency through daily routines, practical life skills, and guided learning
Observe, track, and document developmental milestones, providing thoughtful feedback to parents
Daily Care & Engagement
Provide attentive, nurturing, hands-on care throughout the day
Support daily routines including meals, dressing, and structured play
Maintain a calm, consistent, and developmentally appropriate environment
Plan educational activities such as reading, sensory play, and creative projects
Household Collaboration & Travel
Work closely with household staff to ensure seamless communication and aligned care
Travel frequently with the family between Miami, the Hamptons, and New York City
Maintain consistency in routines and developmental approach across multiple residences
Environment & Organization
Keep child-related areas organized, clean, and stimulating
Prepare and rotate Montessori-inspired materials and learning setups
Qualifications & Requirements
Montessori certification (AMI, AMS, or equivalent) required
Extensive experience working with toddlers in private households or educational settings
Strong understanding of early childhood development and Montessori philosophy
Experience working in fully staffed or UHNW households preferred
Flexible and travel-ready with a valid passport
Highly organized, discreet, and professional
Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills
Schedule: 10 hours/day, 5 days/week (rotating weekdays off)
Salary: $120,000–$140,000/year (DOE)
Accommodation: Private accommodation provided in staff house
