A respected family in Miami is actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Newborn Care Specialist to provide dedicated care to their 2-week-old baby. This is a short-term, 6-week contract position with the potential for extension if necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Newborn Care:
- The Newborn Care Specialist will attend to the daily needs and routines of the 2-week-old baby.
- Monitor the baby’s overall well-being.
- Feeding:
- Administer both bottle-fed formula and breast milk as per the parents’ instructions.
- Prepare and sterilize bottles and other feeding equipment.
- Regularly wash bottles and pump parts.
- Breast Milk Familiarity:
- The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of breast milk handling, storage, and preparation.
- Provide assistance and support to breastfeeding mothers as needed.
- Sleep Safety:
- Implement and maintain a sleep schedule suitable for the newborn.
- Communication:
- Maintain regular communication with parents regarding the baby’s progress, routines, and any concerns.
- Safety and Hygiene:
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for the baby.
- Adhere to high standards of hygiene when handling feeding equipment and baby-related items.
- Flexibility:
- Adapt to the changing needs and schedules of the baby and family.
- Be available for overnight care.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- The successful candidate will have proven experience as a Newborn Care Specialist with a focus on infants under 3 months old.
- Previous experience in a similar role is required.
- Flexibility:
- Ability to adjust to the family’s schedule and needs.
- Communication Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to maintain a positive and collaborative relationship with parents.
Schedule: The Client is flexible on the schedule depending on the NCS’ preference of 12 hours/7 days a week, 24/7, 20/7, etc.
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: $700-$1000 per day (depending on experience, hours worked, etc)
