Live Out ROTA Nanny, Miami Beach, Florida

Monday – Friday 6:30am to 7:30pm – 2 weeks on/ 2 weeks off rotation

OVERVIEW: Private, busy, active couple who recently relocated to Miami Beach, seeks energetic, bright, and experienced Nanny/Family Assistant for ROTA role of two weeks ON and two weeks OFF. Role will support family at their primary residence and will travel in the summer on same schedule to their East Hampton estate. Ideal candidates will have infant care and formal child development training and possess a passion for working with children and partnering with parents. Position will augment professional couples’ nurturing, care, and companionship and, in their absence, supervise child’s daily activities. Role requires healthy level of discretion and confidentiality, collaboration with other employees, critical thinking, and flexibility; most essential quality having an authentic passion and love for children. Nanny must strive to create a fun, safe, and supportive environment in home and nurturing and trusting relationship with their child. The candidate will possess ability to move about residence seamlessly and genuinely enjoy engaging in active, imaginative, and age-appropriate play. The ideal candidate will intuitively assess family dynamics, possess a “no task is too big or small” mentality, and assist with various household duties as a Family Assistant; tasks will include; grocery shopping, family errands, light meal prep, general tidying of child’s areas, laundry support, light housekeeping, making inventory and packing lists for family, and assisting with various administrative tasks, etc. A warm, calm, outgoing, affectionate temperament is required, able to demonstrate willingness to listen, learn and put needs of the child and the Family first. Nanny will report directly to Mrs. and should expect to support her in-person regularly. The successful candidate will possess an unwavering commitment of protection of Family’s privacy. The nanny will be part of a nanny team providing 24/7 coverage; Typical schedule would be Monday – Friday, 6:30 am to 7:30 pm with some flexibility to work into the evening or on weekends as required, and when traveling. Start date immediate with short trial for right candidate.


Ensure safety and well-being of one 3-year-old child at all times, bathe and dress child, maintain child’s current sleep/napping and meal schedules, and administer medicine as directed. Provide active companionship for child and participate energetically in physical activities such as swimming, dancing, gardening, riding bikes, etc. Coordinate and supervise daily activities, play dates, and appointments. The Nanny/Family Assistant is responsible for getting themselves to/from work but a vehicle and driver is provided for school drop off/pickup, and whenever toddler is transported. Assist child with homework, school projects, studying for tests, and making sure appropriate documents are seen/handled by the parents, and parent’s EA/PA’s are aware of any documents and calendar events that require their participation. Provide occasional fill-in coverage or support for other family nannies. Assist with preparations for family travel, including packing for child and making sure child’s meals and groceries are provided for travel and on-site. Adept in light cooking and meal-prep for child and occasionally other family members, perform childcare related housework and tasks; clean up after meals, tidy play areas and do child’s laundry, maintain child’s room, play areas, closets, rotate clothes seasonally, prepare outgrown items for donation, purchase child-related supplies and clothing, and organize school-related items. Event planning support for children’s themed birthday parties and other family gatherings.


Grocery shop, family errands, update child’s calendar, notify parent’s EA’s and Director of Residences important child-related activities, and assist with various administrative tasks. Assist other family support team members (Nannies, DOR  EA, PA and Housekeepers with hands-on maintenance and requests as required. Document any expenses for child, get approvals, and provide receipts. Account for any petty cash expenditures. Provide event planning support for family gatherings and develop and communicate household inventory supply checklists for family necessities as observed or requested by family; communicate any changes to those necessities to other team members. Willingness to pleasantly accommodate last-minute requests.


Formal childhood development experience and ability to provide tutoring and homework assistance as needed. First Aid certified and current and college graduate strongly preferred OR (5) years’ comparable experience working in a similar role for private family. Excellent references required from both current and previous employers, demonstrated unwavering integrity and discretion in handling confidential information and possess exceptional organizational skills, dedication to responsibilities, and an “above and beyond” attitude. Experience with play-based learning and creating educational activities (e.g., planned engaging activities at home, developmentally appropriate games,  stimulating projects and crafts, cooking and baking, scheduled outings, etc.) Physically agile; able to keep up with young children. Must be a strong swimmer who is very comfortable supervising and playing with children in the water. Be comfortable communicating with Parents in real-time (e.g., text, phone). Possess strong command of English language, Spanish speaking or semi-fluent a+ and be computer savvy with proficiency in Mac systems, including Office, Internet, and email.

Must be proficient in ordering online groceries, household products, etc. Valid U.S. driver’s license with clean driving record required; candidate should be a confident driver who is comfortable driving children. Valid U.S. Passport required; willing and able to travel both domestic and abroad to support the Family and must enjoy travel. Legally able to work in the United States for any employer, COVID vaccinated and seeking longevity and long-term commitment.

Compensation commensurate with experience, base salary DOE, $125K – 145K  plus discretionary generous year-end bonus

When required to work on a holiday, candidate will receive additional holiday pay.

Vacation policy is (15) days of paid time off, scheduling requires approval from family or Director of Residences
