Family in Miami are seeking an experienced and dedicated ROTA Nanny to care for an 19-month-old child on a rotational basis in Miami, FL. This wonderful opportunity involves working two weeks on and two weeks off, with a focus on all aspects of childcare and collaboration with the parents and ROTA counterpart to ensure consistent care for the child.
Responsibilities:
- Childcare: Provide attentive and nurturing care for the 19-month-old child, including feeding, diaper changes, potty training, playtime, and ensuring a safe environment. A focus on developmental milestones and verbal skills is important – this child has been walking since 10 months old so being aware of timelines and fostering further development through educational play is important. A resourceful, energetic Nanny is required to participate in classes and activities, educational outings, arranging playdates with friends and focusing on developmental milestones.
- Meal Preparation: Prepare meals for the child with an emphasis on a healthy, well rounded diet and developing a diverse palate.
- Monitoring Overnight: Responsible for monitoring the child during overnight hours, ensuring a peaceful and secure sleep environment. The Nanny has her own separate bedroom.
- Collaboration with Parents: Work collaboratively with the hands-on parents, maintaining open communication and adapting to their parenting style and preferences, whilst being able to offer suggestions based on your knowledge and experience if invited.
- ROTA Coordination: Effectively collaborate and communicate with the ROTA counterpart during the handover period, ensuring a smooth transition for the child, as well as adapting to any scheduling requests for both Nannies.
- No Driving Required: Use alternative transportation methods, such as Uber, as there is no driving involved in this role.
Qualifications:
– Proven experience as a Nanny with toddlers and preschoolers; this is a long-term role!
– Strong understanding of child development, with preference for a background in Early Childhood Education (degree, day care or teaching experience)
– Spanish language fluency
– Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
– Flexibility and adaptability to different parenting styles.
– Proven ability to work on a rotational schedule (2 weeks on/2 weeks off).
– Must be a US Citizen with a valid passport.
– No driving is involved; comfortable using alternative transportation.
