A family in McLean, VA, near Washington DC, is seeking a live-in nanny to provide dedicated, loving care for their newborn baby in a calm and supportive home environment. The primary focus of this role is attentive, developmentally appropriate infant care, following a gentle and responsive caregiving approach, including preparing bottles, supporting feeding routines, and adapting care as the baby grows. The nanny will also manage baby-related tidying and organization, ensuring the nursery and baby items are kept clean and well maintained.
In addition to childcare, the role includes light household support, such as completing and folding laundry once daily, loading and unloading the dishwasher once per day, and assisting with basic pet care by feeding the family dog twice daily and letting him outside a few times throughout the day.
Private bedroom and private bathroom are provided. The schedule is Monday and Friday from 9:00am–5:00pm and Tuesday through Thursday from 7:00am–7:00pm, requiring comfort with long hours and flexibility for occasional schedule changes.
