Seeking a native French-speaking tutor/governess for a US family visiting Malta. The position will start on 18th May and will continue until 1st June. An approximate schedule could be 10am-6pm daily, however the family are open to discussing hours/days, and some flexibility around babysitting would be appreciated.
Duties will include general care for their 8-year-old daughter, and probably 1-2 hours per day of French tutoring. Please be open to fitting in around the family and their plans – at this stage there is no particular set schedule, this is very much about supporting the family. There will probably be some shared care, some sole charge and other times when you are free to do whatever you like!
The ideal candidate is positive, fun, obviously a native French speaker and quick to adapt and pick up on cues. You know when to step up and take the initiative, but you also recognise when to step back and allow family time. You are a confident swimmer and have prior experience with a similar age group. You will stay with the family in their holiday villa so you need to be comfortable with integrating into the family dynamic, must be able to hit the ground running and be happy to muck in with whatever is going on.
