A professional family in Long Island City is seeking an experienced and engaging Nanny to care for their energetic and curious 5-year-old child. The family is looking for a nanny who can create a positive and nurturing environment while supporting the child’s social, emotional, and developmental growth.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and genuinely enjoy spending time with children. During the school year, the role includes school pick-ups, coordinating playdates, and planning engaging activities that encourage creativity and learning. While the child is at school, the nanny will provide light household support related to the child and help keep daily family routines running smoothly. Responsibilities:
Provide attentive care and supervision for a 5-year-old child
Plan and organize engaging, age-appropriate activities that encourage learning and creativity
Support the child’s independence, confidence, and social development
Manage school pick-ups and oversee after-school routines
Coordinate playdates and age-appropriate social activities
Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the child
Assist with light child-related household duties while the child is at school
Empty and load the dishwasher as needed
Handle light laundry related to the child
Keep play areas, toys, and child-related spaces tidy and organized
Communicate regularly with parents regarding schedules, activities, and the child’s progress
Position Details:
School Year Schedule: Monday–Friday, 11:00am–6:00pm
Summer Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–6:00pm
Compensation: $35 per hour
