An active family in Lakewood is seeking an experienced, engaging, and highly organized full-time nanny to care for their 4-year-old child and baby. This is a child-focused role ideal for a professional nanny who is passionate about early childhood development and enjoys creating a structured, nurturing, and play-based environment. The family is looking for someone who can confidently manage daily schedules, maintain consistent routines, and foster learning through age-appropriate developmental activities and creative play.
Responsibilities include preparing meals for the children, transporting them to preschool and activities, maintaining a detailed nanny journal, and supporting the children’s emotional, educational, and social growth throughout the day. The role also includes child-related household tasks such as washing bottles, children’s laundry, organizing toys and clothing, keeping the playroom and nursery clean and well stocked, and maintaining overall organization of the children’s spaces. Occasional travel with the family will be required. The ideal candidate is dependable, proactive, safety-conscious, and comfortable balancing childcare with light household support in a busy family environment.
Requirements:
Previous professional nanny experience with multiple young children
Strong understanding of child development and play-based learning
Experience managing routines and developmental activities
Comfortable transporting children to preschool and activities
Reliable vehicle required for work-related transportation
Clean driving record
Organized and detail-oriented with ability to maintain a nanny journal
Comfortable with light housekeeping and child-related household tasks
Flexible for occasional family travel
CPR/First Aid certification preferred
Strong references required
Schedule & Compensation:
Monday through Friday, 45 hours per week with a 7:00 AM start
$75,000 gross annual salary plus mileage reimbursement for work-related driving
