A family of five (with large family dog) is seeking a full-time, live-out, experienced, dedicated, energetic, organized and dynamic career nanny or manny in La Jolla, San Diego. This is a non-traditional family structure with heavy work, school and international travel schedules.
Candidates must be experienced, dedicated, organized, energetic and dynamic with the ability to manage three boys within a team setting (Ages 9, 13 & 16). This candidate will play an important role to the family to assist in creating routine structure, balance and meaningful values for the kids. This is a 5-day work week schedule. Availability on the weekends is required. Compensation Package includes 100% healthcare coverage for self only (medical only), and generous paid time-off (greater than 2 weeks per year).
EXPERIENCE:
Professional Career Nanny/Caregiver with 6+ years of experience. Teaching and tutoring experience preferred. A background in Education is a plus. Experience with travelling with an employer in important. Must drive and have a valid driver’s license and passport. This is an on-call position requiring nights, weekends, overnights and travel (domestic and international) as scheduled. Candidate should possess an overall pleasant and patient disposition, have a strong work ethic, able to multi-task, be a forward and critical thinker, and able to work well with team in small settings. Work Schedules: This is a 5-day work week (50-60 hours per week). Schedules can be arranged as overnights, weekends and may include domestic/international travel. Schedules are planned monthly in advance. Schedules are prepared at the discretion of the Principal and subject to change. Must have flexible availability (days, nights, weekends).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- A.M./P.M. work shifts which include waking, preparing and transporting children to and from school.
- Working in team setting with Lead Nanny
- Assist with school homework, projects, after-school activities, and weekend activities, as scheduled.
- Swimming is a plus! + (we have a pool)
- Basic meal prep, cooking and snack preparation for kids
- Responsible for children’s rooms, (tidying and organizing rooms, toys, books, and clothing)
- Research stimulating daily/weekly/weekend activities for the kids (local and during travel)
- Grocery shopping for the household
- Responsible for the family pet dog (large senior Cane Corso) consisting of AM & PM bathroom walks & feedings.
- Responsible for children’s laundry (wash, dry, fold and closet maintenance)
- Must be available to live-in at the family home during overnight work shifts (these will be scheduledshifts)
- Must posses a valid Driver’s License and Passport and able to travel at a moment’s notice (domestic and international travel)
