A fantastic role for a dedicated and professional Nanny to assist in caring for two happy, healthy and bright children – a girl aged 2 and her brother who is 3.5. They are close in age and great characters.
The family is looking for someone who is patient, caring, fun and energetic. You will strive to provide a warm, loving, and structured environment for the children, while setting clear and consistent expectations.
You should be very confident in their ability to stimulate the little ones’ interests as they grow & develop. You will be responsible for organising their social diaries, filling their time with fun adventures, organising playdates & researching extracurricular classes; keeping both children organised in their environments & routines, thinking outside the box, stimulating their creative and educational development. You should also be a swimmer so that this can be another activity for the children to enjoy.
The role is mainly sole charge and all nursery duties (including laundry and cooking freshly prepared meals) are required. The family views you as the third parent and it is very much a team approach as they do like to be involved with nursery drop offs and pick-ups. The eldest currently attends nursery five mornings per week, with the younger sibling starting nursery three mornings per week in September.
Days of work will be Monday – Friday with Monday and Friday 08.00 – 18.00, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 08:00 – 18:30 and some flexibility for travelling with the family, babysitting and some proxy parenting on the occasions when mother travels for business is required. A good remuneration package is available for an adaptable candidate.
Travel includes holidays in Scotland (though the nanny is not required to stay more than 2 weeks at a time unless she wants to), and other international trips and skiing holidays. Weekends are sometimes spent in Hampshire, and whilst you don’t need to spend weekends in Hampshire, some support getting them there will be required, and then you are free to go home.
A driver is essential.
There are no pets.
