A family based in Heraklion, Crete, Greece is seeking a live-in nanny to care for their toddler and newborn. This is a shared-care role alongside the parents, ideal for a warm, energetic, and experienced professional who enjoys working with young children in an active, outdoor-oriented environment.
The family values minimal screen time and encourages hands-on learning, creativity, and exploration. The nanny must be confident planning educational activities, arts and crafts, sensory play, and outdoor adventures such as beach outings and hiking. The role requires flexibility, as travel with the family is expected.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care for a toddler and newborn
Support the mother in shared childcare responsibilities
Plan and organize stimulating educational and creative activities
Engage the children in outdoor play, beach outings, hiking, and exploration
Lead arts and crafts, sensory play, and age-appropriate learning experiences
Encourage early language development (multilingual exposure welcomed)
Maintain a structured yet flexible daily routine
Travel with the family and provide consistent childcare during trips
Ensure the children’s safety, wellbeing, and emotional development at all times
Requirements:
Proven experience caring for both toddlers and newborns
Confident organizing engaging, screen-free activities
Fluent English speaker
EU passport or valid EU work permit required
Comfortable with frequent travel
Schedule & Accommodation:
5 days per week
50 hours per week
Live-in position with self-contained accommodation provided
