A family based in The Bahamas (Dunmore Town) is seeking an experienced career nanny or early childhood educator to provide exceptional care and educational support for their 2-year-old child. This unique opportunity is ideal for a professional who is passionate about child development and embraces Montessori and Reggio Emilia philosophies. The family is looking for a nurturing, creative, and highly engaged individual who can foster a love of learning while supporting the child’s independence, curiosity, and emotional growth.

The successful candidate will create and implement developmentally appropriate activities that encourage exploration, creativity, and hands-on learning. Responsibilities include providing attentive daily care, supporting early learning through age-appropriate homeschool instruction, planning enriching outings and educational experiences, and guiding the child’s social, emotional, and cognitive development. The nanny/educator will also assist with child-related organization, maintain tidy and inviting learning and play spaces, and travel with the family as needed. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact during a critical stage of early childhood development while working in a supportive family environment.

The position offers approximately 45 hours per week, competitive compensation, and an excellent benefits package, including housing, health insurance, and a vehicle for both personal and professional use. The family will sponsor and obtain the necessary work permit for the successful candidate. To be considered, applicants must currently reside in either the United States or The Bahamas.

Requirements:

Professional experience as a career nanny, educator, or early childhood professional
Strong knowledge of child development and early learning principles
Experience with Montessori and/or Reggio Emilia philosophies
Ability to create engaging, developmentally appropriate educational activities
Experience providing age-appropriate homeschool instruction or early education
Passion for fostering independence, creativity, curiosity, and emotional development
Comfortable planning educational outings and enrichment activities
Willingness to travel with the family as needed
Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain child-related spaces
Excellent professional references
Must currently reside in the United States or The Bahamas
Valid passport and ability to travel internationally

Compensation & Benefits:

$45 per hour
