A private family based in Gramercy Park, New York is seeking an experienced Spanish-speaking ROTA Nanny / Educator to care for their toddler and early school-aged child. This is a great opportunity for a seasoned nanny who enjoys combining hands-on childcare with early education and developmental support. The family is looking for someone who can turn everyday moments into learning opportunities, encourage curiosity through play, and bring a warm but structured approach to the children’s routines and development.
The family has a fully staffed home, so the ability to work naturally alongside other household staff is important. Spanish will be the primary language spoken with the children, supporting their ongoing language development through everyday conversation, play, and daily routines. The usual schedule is one week on / one week off, although flexibility is essential as the rotation may change to two weeks on / two weeks off when the family travels. The ideal candidate will be confident, discreet, proactive, and genuinely enjoy working as part of a professional household team.
Responsibilities:
Provide attentive, hands-on care for a toddler and early school-aged child
Create learning opportunities through everyday interactions, play, books, and activities
Plan and facilitate educational, age-appropriate play experiences
Support early childhood development and age-appropriate milestones
Speak exclusively in Spanish with the children throughout the working rotation
Manage and coordinate the children’s daily schedules and routines
Change diapers and provide all age-appropriate personal care
Maintain the children’s bedrooms, play areas, wardrobes, and clothing
Prepare healthy snacks and meals for the children
Maintain consistent sleeping, eating, and daily routines
Plan outings and activities that encourage learning, confidence, and social development
Work collaboratively with the family’s fully staffed household team
Communicate professionally with parents and other caregivers regarding the children’s routines and progress
Requirements:
Fluent Spanish speaker; Spanish must be spoken exclusively with the children
Extensive professional nanny experience
Strong background in education, early childhood development, or educational childcare
Previous experience working within a fully staffed private household
Confident swimmer
Valid driver’s license and confident driving ability
Current CPR certification
Warm, engaging, proactive, and highly organized
Discreet and comfortable working in a high-end private household
Flexible regarding changes to the ROTA schedule during family travel
Excellent references from previous employers
Legal authorization to work in the United States
Salary: $130,000–$140,000 per year
