A family based in Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany is looking for an experienced Waldorf nanny to care for their two young children, aged 2 and 4. This is a wonderful opportunity for a nurturing and creative childcare professional with a strong educational background who values child-led learning, imagination, and holistic development. The family is seeking someone who can create a calm, enriching environment, encouraging independence through meaningful play, storytelling, arts and crafts, outdoor exploration, and age-appropriate daily activities inspired by the Waldorf philosophy.
Working closely with the family, you will take responsibility for the children’s afternoon and evening routine, planning engaging activities that support their emotional, social, and developmental growth while fostering a warm and secure atmosphere. The position is live-out, working Monday to Friday from 2:30 pm to 9:00 pm, with flexibility required to accommodate the family’s schedule. Occasional travel will also be part of the role, making this an excellent opportunity for a flexible, experienced nanny looking for a long-term position. Salary up to €5,000 net per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
Requirements:
Previous experience working as a Waldorf nanny or a strong understanding of the Waldorf philosophy.
Educational or teaching background (qualified teacher or similar preferred).
Fluent German speaker (essential).
Proven experience caring for young children, ideally in a private household.
Passion for creating screen-free, creative, and development-focused activities.
Warm, patient, and nurturing approach with excellent communication skills.
Flexible and willing to travel with the family when required.
Eligible to work in Germany.
