We are seeking a warm, reliable, and experienced full-time nanny to care for our 9-month-old baby in our Foggy Bottom home. The ideal candidate is attentive, nurturing, and confident in supporting infant development through consistent routines and engaging, screen-free care. This position is based in a private home and focuses exclusively on child-related duties. We value open communication, consistency, and a respectful partnership with our caregiver.
Responsibilities
Maintain consistent daily routines, including feeding, naps, playtime, and outdoor walks
Prepare bottles and simple, age-appropriate meals for the baby
Change diapers and attend to all basic infant care needs
Manage baby-related laundry
Plan and engage the baby in sensory and developmentally appropriate play activities
Keep the nursery and play areas tidy, organized, and clean
Maintain a calm, screen-free environment that supports healthy sleep and development
Communicate daily with parents regarding routines, milestones, mood, and any concerns
Follow family guidelines for care, safety, and household routines
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Compensation: $30 per hour
